Mountain Home “Tips Off” First Y-Ball Season!

Mountain Home’s first Youth Basketball (Y-Ball) season has started and is off to a great start! Currently there are just under 70 students (boys) enrolled, and there is room for more, as we have roster spots available. The fee for the program is $50.00, and the kids receive a full uniform, basketball, a practice session each week, and game time on Saturday mornings.  Most importantly, the coaches incorporate the Y’s character values (Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility) in everything and re-inforce healthy eating, hydration, and education throughout the program.   Our goal is to not only develop athletes, but develop future community leaders as well.

MESSAGE OF THANKS:
We have been so impressed with everyone who has joined us in making this program a success!  Thank you to Mountain Home High School Boys’ Basketball Coach Brion Bethel, his coaches and players (who will serve as referees at Saturday games), parents who were flexible enough to allow us to start small and evolve the program over the last two weeks, and James Gilbert and the Mountain Home School District for graciously allowing us to use their facilities, to name a few.  We are incredibly thankful to have started these relationships and are humbled to have the opportunity to positively affect the lives of Mountain Home youth.

A GREAT START . . . ROOM FOR GROWTH!
Y-Ball players and the five Treasure Valley AAU teams representing the Mountain Home Tigers in our 5th-7th grade program make up over 100 youth in the area that are participating in impactful Y programs now. We have the opportunity to grow and hope to serve many more families in the near future.  We will offer programs for both boys and girls in the early part of 2016!

Thank you, Mountain Home  . . . and GO TIGERS!
