Our trips begin and end at Y Camp, but spend the rest of the week camping and trying adventurous activities including a half day whitewater raft trip on the main section of the Payette River!
Whether working with a team to prepare the daily meals, pitching a tent, or rappelling down a rock face, campers will learn to support each other and challenge themselves.
Campers must decipher successive clues to find their route and complete creative physical and mental challenges to earn additional clues to continue their journey. Rafting, climbing, hiking, biking, and treasure hunting are just a few of the adventure activities Campers will enjoy. You never know what this adventure will hold!
Backpacking between 4-5 miles each day, campers will get to experience a true “back-country” trip, carrying their backpack and setting up camp each day. The short distances along beautiful mountain lakes mean campers will have time and energy to swim, fish, boulder and practice a variety of camping skills they will enjoy for the rest of their lives.
Trip Campers learn and practice the following outdoor skills:
- Campsite set up
- Camp cooking
- Fire Building
- Wilderness Navigation
- “Leave No Trace Skills”
