Position Requirements: Must have current Lifeguard Training, First Aid, and CPR certifications. Responsible for the safety and maintenance of the aquatics center, and promote the values of the YMCA. Must have excellent customer service, communication, and organization skills. Possess the ability to articulate and enforce YMCA policies in a positive way. Must be able to swim 500m in under twelve minutes, tread water without using hands for two minutes, pass the ARC Brick test, and complete all other ARC lifesaving skills.
General Skills & Abilities: Must be 16 years of age or older. Must be able to work at least 25 hours per week. Assume responsibility of the safety of aquatic center participants.
Other Information: Part-time, 25 hours per week. Shifts may vary, including day shifts from 4:30 AM – 12:00 PM and evening shifts from 4-9PM. Must be able to be scheduled at least 10 hours each week. If you do not have all of the above mentioned certifications, training courses pre-hire may be available.
