Position Requirements:
Under the direction of the West Aquatic Director, the Head Swim Coach is responsible for administering the total operation of the Boise Y Swim Team program. This includes: program planning and daily management, age-group and senior-level athlete development, oversight and development of assistant coaches, composition of daily, seasonal, annual and quadrennial training programs, promotion of both competitive swimming and YMCA core values, and integration of team goals within the YMCA mission. ASCA Level 4 or equivalent experience; bachelor’s degree or equivalent; current USA Swimming coach certifications.
General Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrate genuine care and concern for children. Demonstrate knowledge of sound competitive swimming skills, and the ability to implement and teach these skills in a positive, healthy manner. Ability to build genuine relationships with participants and maintain a welcoming and nurturing environment. Upon hiring – maintain CPR and other YMCA required trainings.
Other Information:
Full-time position with membership and health benefits. Schedule is a split shift due to practice times and meets but ranges from Sunday – Saturday from 6:00am – 6:30pm. Will include some weekend travel for swim meets. Please submit all certifications when applying.
