Position Requirements:
Planning and implementation of child care program based on the fundamental factors of child development and the YMCA guidelines.
General Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrate genuine care and concern for children. Demonstrate knowledge of activities appropriate for the social, emotional and physical levels of school-aged children ages 5-12 years. Must have previous experience working in a childcare setting. Upon hiring – maintain CPR, remedial first aid, and Boise City Child Care Worker’s license. Demonstrate YMCA Character Values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. Minimum age of 18 with previous child care experience of at least one year in a group setting. Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. CDA or Associate Degree in Early childhood Education or equivalent hours preferred. Education will be verified at the time of employment.
Other Information:
Part-time position with membership and voluntary health benefits available. Schedule is 3pm-6pm or as needed. Requires minimum age of 18.
