Position Requirements:
Planning and implementation of childcare program based on the fundamental factors of child development and the YMCA guidelines. Teacher will be responsible for planning the calendar for the first grade classroom and engaging kids in a fun, safe environment.
General Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrate knowledge and experience in developing and implementing daily lesson plans and creating an environment to meet the cognitive, social, emotional and physical needs of school-aged children. Demonstrate genuine care and concern for children. Must have previous experience working in a childcare setting. Upon hiring – maintain CPR, remedial first aid, and State of Idaho & Boise City Child Care Worker’s license. Demonstrate YMCA Character Values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. Previous experience working with school-aged children required.
Other Information:
Part-time position with membership and voluntary health benefits available. Schedule is Monday – Friday ranging from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Hours may vary due to school district schedule. Requires minimum age of 18 and high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience preferred.
