Position Requirements:
Planning and implementation of childcare program based on the fundamental factors of child development and the YMCA guidelines. Teacher will be responsible for planning the calendar for the school-aged children and engaging kids in a fun, safe environment.
General Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrate knowledge and experience in developing and implementing daily lesson plans and creating an environment to meet the cognitive, social, emotional and physical needs of school-aged children. Demonstrate genuine care and concern for children. Must have previous experience working in a childcare setting. Upon hiring – maintain CPR, remedial first aid, and State of Idaho & Boise City Child Care Worker’s license. Demonstrate YMCA Character Values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. Previous experience working with school-aged children required.
Other Information:
Part-time position with membership and voluntary health benefits available. Schedule varies Monday – Friday from 6:30 am – 9:00 am and 1:30pm – 6:30pm. Hours may vary due to school district schedule. Requires minimum age of 18 and high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience preferred.
