Position Requirements:
High School degree or equivalent. Ensure top-notch customer service levels in accordance with the established practices, systems, and philosophy of the Treasure Valley Family Y. Demonstrated organizational skills. Experience with data input and software management. Answer questions and provide support for membership accounts and payment information. Emphasis on membership tours and follow up. CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
General Skills & Abilities:
Maintain membership accounts (updating, inputting, problem solving, payment information, retention, and generating reports). Ensure data base accuracy of all membership-related accounts. Provide office support to Welcome Center staff by answering phones, providing extra customer support, and resolving member issues. Review all financial assistance applications for membership and programs. Work with Membership Specialists from other branches to coordinate membership information and events. Ability to understand, articulate and enforce YMCA policies and procedures. Creative, flexible, energetic, team player. Commitment to mission, values and goals of the YMCA. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Demonstrate expertise in data input and software management. Build relationships through member interaction and potential new member tours. Complete required trainings within 60 days of hiring.
Other Information:
Membership Service Specialist is a part-time position with membership and voluntary health benefits. Must be flexible, working various days Sunday – Saturday, focusing on evening and weekend hours. Hours, responsibilities may change seasonally. Exceptional Listen First/conflict resolution skills. Must do well in a variety of situations. Bilingual strongly preferred.
