Wage Range: $245 - $280 per week plus room and board
Position Requirements:
1. Minimum High School graduate or 18 years of age by June 1.
2. Knowledge and skill in working with youth & teens in a positive leadership role, providing guidance, and instruction
3. Skill in a variety of camp activities
4. CPR certification
5. First Aid certification
General Skills & Abilities:
Responsible for the health, safety, and varied camp program for youth & teens. Each counselor is responsible for one cabin group, the development of and assistant counselor, the camp program and the upkeep and inventory of equipment. Camp staff make available a program that features outdoor living, citizenship training, and democracy. It includes fun and adventure, cooperative planning, group living, social adjustment, improvement of health, enrichment of family living and relationships, and YMCA values – caring, honesty, respect & responsibility.
Other Information:
Camp staff positions are seasonal (June 4 – August 18). Camp schedule is Mon-Sat (some weekend shifts may be required).
