Southwest Idaho’s largest competitive basketball league offers players the opportunity to compete for their local high school all while learning the values of sportsmanship, effort, respect, and teamwork with a focus on maintaining healthy lifestyles and relationships. Treasure Valley AAU is committed to providing players with a positive playing experience. Through YMCA leadership, volunteer coaches as positive role models, and parents/families providing positive and continuous support, AAU basketball is a platform for players to improve their game within a competitive environment and foster a lifelong pursuit of health.
Through a strong relationship with our local school districts our goal is to have a varsity and junior varsity team within each level of play for every high school in the Treasure Valley. The program gives players the opportunity to play together and create team bonds prior to entering their high school years thus strengthening the high school program and community overall.

Coaching & Volunteering
Positive role models needed! Each and every coach is screened through a coach selection process and a background check is completed.
When the opportunity exists, a non-parent with a background working with youth and coaching basketball, is given priority in the coach selection process. This preference is to eliminate any possible or perceived bias when it comes to team and player management.
That said, the MAJORITY of our greatest coaches have been mothers and fathers. These individuals were passionate about treating each player with equal respect and providing equal instruction. Playing time may vary per player but instruction should not.
If you are interested in coaching contact your AAU office and/or print and submit the forms below:
