Activate Treasure Valley
Activate Treasure Valley is a multi-faceted public awareness campaign that encourages people to move their body with physical activity every day, along with adopting a generally healthier lifestyle. This program brings together health and wellness partners across the Treasure Valley that offer opportunities to increase the overall health and wellness rankings on a statewide and national scale.
The Treasure Valley Family YMCA is leading this partnership to support the vision of “making the Treasure Valley the model for active living and healthy eating in America.” Coalitions like this have been formed by YMCAs across the country at the request of the United States Senate, and are in response to the national health crisis caused by the lifestyle disease of inactivity and obesity.
