Swim
Adult participants will swim 600 yards (12 laps).
Youth participants will swim 150 yards (3 laps).
Indoor water swim will be Friday, May 3, 2013.
Participants may choose from the following locations:
- Downtown Family YMCA: 1050 West State Street in Downtown Boise.
- West Family YMCA: 5959 Discovery Way in West Boise.
- Caldwell Family YMCA: 3720 S Indiana in Caldwell.
Participant swim times and lane assignments will be available beginning Wednesday afternoon at all facility front desks, and on this website. Participants will be seeded in order of estimated swim times unless you request a specific start time. Late sign-ups will be added to the end of the schedule.
Bike
All Wheelchair Athletes will start 5 minutes before regularly scheduled start times.
The bike and run portion of the race will be on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the City of Eagle Bike Park (VeloPark) in Eagle. Participants will start in order of their actual swim finish time.
Adult: 8.4 mile Mountain Bike
Youth: 1.75 mile Mountain Bike
The youth bike course will utilize a different set of trails and take place 90 minutes prior to the adult race. The youth participants will have the course to themselves. The youth bike course is a single 1.75 mile lap on rolling terrain.
The adult bike course will be two 4.2 mile laps or a total of 8.4 miles at the City of Eagle Bike Park (aka the VeloPark). The course has approximately 300 feet of elevation gain per lap over rolling terrain. The entire course is on beginner level trails with no technical aspects. The race is limited to 29” or smaller mountain bike wheels. Cyclocross bikes with knobby tires will be allowed.
RUN
The run will start immediately following the bike course. Runners will follow signs out of transition onto the run course.
ADULT: 3.3 mile trail run
YOUTH: .60 mile trail run
The adult course is a fantastic set of rolling single track on the lower trails (D’s Chaos and Twisted Sister). Runners will complete two laps before finishing.
The Youth run will consist of approximately one kilometer of slightly flat to rolling terrain. Transition area, start and finish are located at the upper parking lot adjacent to the beginner skills park.
