Meet the Coaches

Kevin Everett

Our coaches for the YMCA Endurance Sports Club are friendly well rounded individuals with years of experience. The Head Coach Kevin Everett has been coaching for 18 years and competing at an elite level for over 20 years. He has now been a professional triathlete for 6 years, racing over 100 events all over the world, in everything from sprint to Ironman events. He swam in college specializing in the 400 IM while being a member of the four time NCAA II National Championships Swimming team, Oakland University where he was also an Academic All American and on the Dean’s List.

Kevin loves to coach and has had the pleasure of working with every age group and ability. Growing the endurance community is his focus while assisting people with their performance goals.

 

 

Kelly Driver

Kelly has over 20 years of triathlon experience, including qualifying for and completing the Hawaii Ironman World Championship in Kona. She was a member of the cross-country and track team at Indiana University, specializing in the mile and 1500. She has over 12 years of coaching experience with both track and field athletes and triathletes. As a mother of 4, she is a role model for her kids demonstrating the importance of living a healthy lifestyle while balancing the demands of family life.

 

 

Chris Ganter

Chris is a professional endurance sports coach based in Boise, Idaho. In addition to his scientific background as a former Senior Scientist of Analytical Chemistry, Chris brings over 17 years of competitive running experience at the amateur, NCAA and post-collegiate levels. He also brings 7 years of highly successful multisport experience including the title of 2007 Nautica NYC Triathlon Champion, 2008 USAT Duathlon National Champion, and Garmin USAT duathlete of the year 2008.

Chris is a USAT Certified Triathlon Coach, and head coach of Drexel University’s collegiate triathlon team. Chris’ passion for coaching has expanded the Drexel program, successfully fielded full men’s and women’s squads at USAT Collegiate Nationals, and coached the Northeast Collegiate Triathlon Conference overall men’s champion. In addition to coaching new multisport athletes to successful finishes, he has also developed elite level athletes, achieving top overall race performances and top age group placing.

 

 

 

Neil Bangs

Neil is an up and coming triathlete with a passion for leading an active healthy lifestyle. Graduating in the spring of 2010 for Boise State University with a degree in Psychology, Neil is focused on reaching his potential as an endurance athlete and using his knowledge to coach. Neil is currently learning from Brett Sutton’s Program, one of triathlons most prolific coaches.
