5th through 9th Grade Boys or Girls can try out to play in the competitive AAU basketball league.
Summer League is for coaches who wish to form their own team and play through the summer.

Attend Scheduled Tryouts
All athletes who wish to play in the AAU League must attend an AAU authorized tryout during their feeder high school assigned time. All tryouts are free will be held at the Homecourt YMCA. Find your child's grade and gender below for tryout information. Tryout schedules are listed at the bottom of the page. Click on the corresponding gender and age to find a link to the try-out schedule.
Registration
After players have attended tryouts and been selected for a team, you must complete both steps below.
1. Register through the YMCA
Fee: $145 includes full uniform, AAU souvenir T-Shirt and paid officials.

Financial assistance is available. Print and fill out both the Player Registration & Financial Assistance forms. All completed forms can be faxed, mailed or hand delivered with a recent paystub or proof of income to the Homecourt YMCA, address on the bottom of the registration form.

2. Obtain an AAU player card
The National Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) requires all coaches & players to be current AAU members in order to participate in AAU sanctioned leagues, games or events. Therefore Treasure Valley AAU requires all coaches & players to show proof of current membership (AAU Card) prior to their first AAU regular season game.
Fee: One-year membership costs are $12 per player
To purchase an AAU membership, go to the AAU website and click on AAU Membership Program. Purchase online or send this form into the National AAU office with payment.

Make Up Tryouts:

Girls Registration Form »
Held at the Homecourt YMCA in Meridian, players can continue to develop and challenge themselves throughout the summer by playing in this league. Players register as a team; no individual registration. Coach or team parent must register team. Players can play UP a grade and teams can consist of players from any location. Individuals can be placed on the wait list by contacting aau@ymcatvidaho.org and later moved to teams with space. There are no tryouts for Summer AAU league.

- 7 regular season games
- End-Of-Season Tourney
- All teams guaranteed at least 1 game in tourney
- Standard AAU rules apply
- Two 20 minute running clock halves
- 3 Minute half time
- If the number of teams within a division allows, league will be split into competitive and recreational
Registration Deadline: May 31st, 2012
Coach or team parent must submit a team registration with FULL PAYMENT, TEAM ROSTER and SUPPLEMENTAL FORM for EACH player. Roster must consist of at least 7 players. Teams can petition to play up one grade level by indicating on the registration form.
