Volunteer and Coaches Information
The YMCA is looking for volunteers who love kids and are ready to help spread the spirit of the YMCA to our youth. If you are interested in volunteering for any of our AAU Basketball Leagues, please read on for application information. Thank you for helping make the Treasure Valley such a wonderful place for our youth.

Volunteer opportunities are available for anyone, even if you do not have a child participating in a league.
Interested in coaching an AAU basketball team?
All those who are interested in coaching an AAU team must fill out a Coaches Application. The application must be filled out for each team and/or season regardless of past participation. Forms must be received by each season's registration deadline. Simply fill out the form below & fax or mail it to the Homecourt YMCA office (information is listed on the form). Thank you for your willingness to volunteer!!
Coach Application Deadlines for 2011/2012 Seasons:
•Boys 5th-7th Grade: July 15, 2011
•Girls 5th-7th Grade: September 16, 2011
•Boys & Girls 8th & 9th Grade: TBD
Selected coaches for each season will be listed here once decisions have been made. All application approvals are pending until Volunteer Interest Forms and background checks are completed.

Once you have been selected to coach a team, you will need to do the following:

2. Apply for an AAU Non-Athlete Individual Membership:
The National Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) requires all coaches to be current AAU members in order to participate in AAU sanctioned leagues, games or events. Therefore the Treasure Valley AAU requires all coaches to show proof of current membership (AAU Card) prior to their first AAU regular season game.
Fee: one-year membership costs are $14 per coach
