5. Y Basketball League: Grades K-7th

Y sports leagues are a great place for any level player. Our emphasis is on fun, skill development, teamwork and age appropriate league play.

Y-Basketball is an opportunity for boys and girls of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds to play recreational basketball in a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. Every kid plays equally in Y-Basketball regardless of their position or individual ability.

BOYS play in the FALL League: October 15th - December 8th, 2012
GIRLS play in the WINTER League: January - March, 2013

For Kindergarten through 4th grade players, there are no league standings, no MVPs, and no tournaments. At the YMCA, to play is to win!

Older players need greater challenges. The 5th-7th grade leagues play with modified high school rules, and end the season with a league-wide jamboree. This is competitive basketball with heart, where what kind of teammate you are is as important as what kind of player you are.
