“Over ten years ago, I found myself a single mom with two young sons. I felt powerless and alone. That’s when I found my local YMCA.

Through Financial Assistance, I was able to join the Y and participate in group exercise classes while my sons were with competent, caring Y staff members in the Kid Zone. I developed connections and friendships with the group workout instructors and other Y members.

My sons grew up at the Y! They attended fantastic, character building day camps and sports leagues. They found positive male role models in their volunteer soccer and basketball league coaches. As for me, I lost weight and rebuilt my self-confidence! Thank you, YMCA! I love the Y!”
