The YMCA Famous Idaho Potato Marathon, presented by the Idaho Potato Commission, has been rescheduled for September 19, 2020. The event was postponed amid the evolving circumstances around COVID-19.

Originally scheduled for May 30, 2020, this marathon is an important race for the running community as it can be used to qualify for the 2021 Boston Marathon. The event, which includes a marathon, half marathon, 10K & 5K races, will be open for registration soon.

“Rescheduling the race for this fall gives us time to adapt to provide the safest possible event for staff, and participants,” said Tim Severa, Director of Races and Events, Treasure Valley Family YMCA. “We want to thank the Idaho Potato Commission for their continued support of the YMCA and the Treasure Valley community.”

For previously registered runners who choose to maintain their registration and participate in the race on the new date; no action is needed. Those who can’t participate on the new date and would like to donate their race fees, or request a refund please email racedirector@ymcatvidaho.org.
