Youth Development

“I once met a woman who wanted to write. She told me she’d read 72 books about writing but she still couldn’t do it. I suggested that instead of reading books about writing, she read the best books she could find, the books that would inspire her to write as well as she could.”
—Judy Blume

Storytime

MEET THE INSPIRATIONAL AUTHOR, JUDY BLUME

Judy Blume’s picture and storybooks are warm and funny, her frank approach to young adult themes has made her book for teens, including Are You There God, It’s Me Margaret? and Forever, a frequent target of challenges and censorship. Judy believes strongly that books encourage kids to think for themselves. Learn more about Judy Blume and listen along to “Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing” this weekend.

DID YOU KNOW MARCH IS NATIONAL NUTRITION MONTH?

Learn about MyPlate, which provides practical, consumer-friendly tips to help you put the recommendations of the 2020–2025 Dietary Guidelines into practice.
