When it comes to emergencies, are you the first to respond or take charge? Are you looking for a fun, flexible, and rewarding job? If you enjoy helping people and are interested in learning how to save lives, we have the opportunity for you!
We are now accepting applications for Lifeguards, Swim Instructors, and Water Fitness Instructors at all four Treasure Valley Family YMCA facilities, including:
Downtown Boise YMCA
Tomlinson South Meridian YMCA
West Boise YMCA & Boise City Aquatic Center
SWIM INSTRUCTORS do so much more than teach swim lessons – they inspire confidence in others of all ages. One of the most effective ways to instill confidence in people and create a healthier community is to teach youth, teens, and adults to swim, so they can stay safe around water and learn the skills they need to make swimming a lifelong pursuit for staying healthy.
LIFEGUARDS make a difference in our facilities every day by ensuring the safety of participants and the community. As a lifeguard, you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, be a part of an amazing team, learn a critical skill, and be a role model to participants.
WATER FITNESS INSTRUCTORS get to lead participants through classes designed to build muscle, improve range of motion and flexibility, and increase stamina, all while building a supportive community with their class participants.
Whether it’s just for recreation or serious competition, the Y offers safe, healthy water sports, swim lessons, and fitness classes for every age and every skill level.
Applicants at all skill levels are encouraged to apply, and training and support is available for all applicants interested in beginning their aquatic career at the Y! We are offering lifeguard certifications free of charge through the end of August. Learn more and apply today by visiting the Job Listings page here.
