More than 1,000 pieces of art, textiles, jewelry, pottery, and more, were donated for the “Green at Heart” Thrift Art Market sale last weekend at JUMP Boise! Shoppers had fun discovering treasures and enjoyed holiday carolers.
The generosity of this community is impressive and appreciated. JUMP hosted the event at no cost, and the money raised will help us keep doing the impactful work we do through the Healthy Living Center! Proceeds from this event go directly towards supporting the Y’s Artist In Residence program which offers no-cost creative arts workshops to promote healing and recovery for cancer survivors and people with neurological conditions.
The YMCA Healthy Living Center (HLC) is a partnership between the Treasure Valley Family YMCA, area health organizations, and our community. Together, we provide evidence-based programs that profoundly address many health concerns. The HLC and its programs bring together medical and fitness professionals to help individuals achieve the best possible health care and overall quality of life. We focus on prevention and lifestyle changes as an essential part of health care and healthy living.
At the Y, we welcome everyone whose behavior adheres to our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
We advance our cause by building a stronger and more equitable community where everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow, thrive, and reach their full potential with dignity.
The Y is a force for building bridges among all people–regardless of ability, age, birthplace, cultural background, ethnicity, faith, gender, gender identity, ideology, income, race, or sexual orientation.
The Y is for all.
