IdahoSTARS works with child care providers to improve the quality of care and help families recognize what that means and find the best care for their children. The YMCA Saint Alphonsus Early Learning Center is rated as one of the highest quality providers in the state! Many of our Child Development Centers are rated as “highest quality!”

Our programs provide opportunities, experiences, and relationships to stimulate a young child’s physical, social, cognitive, and emotional development.

Center Director Jamie Willis was interviewed for a feature piece on the IdahoSTARS website.

“I am most proud of the commitment our center has maintained to providing consistent quality care and education for the kids we care for. We have a core group of staff that have been at our center between 5-32 years who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children.”  -Jamie

Willis said it’s no secret that staffing is a challenge. Yet, the career has been rewarding for her. She’s been working at this same center for 30 years!
