Why is the Y Offering Test Kits?
Rapid at-home tests that have been demonstrated to be sensitive for COVID-19 could continue to play an important role in this next phase of the pandemic in the United States by helping manage the transmission of SARS-CoV-2 in unvaccinated populations and high-risk settings and assisting individual decision making.
The rapid antigen tests give results in 15-20 minutes and are convenient. Self-testing is an important tool in efforts to stop the spread of coronavirus, along with vaccination, masking, washing hands and physical distancing when experiencing symptoms.
