YMCA School-Age programs offer part-time and full-time child care for children Kindergarten through 8th Grade. YMCA School-Age program operates before and after school during the school year and all day on no-school days and during the summer. School-Age programs provide children with a wide variety of activities that help children grow personally, learn values, improve personal relationships, appreciate diversity, become better leaders, and develop specific skills and assets. Children in our programs benefit from a safe and nurturing environment that incorporates character values, provides positive adult role models, and develops necessary skills.
All of our YMCA School-Age programs create lesson plans and activities based on the latest research and best practices in school-age development. Activities align our school-age programming with evidence-based lesson plans while remaining flexible to foster each child’s cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development by sparking an interest in learning through hands-on projects. Each day children will be engaged through a wide variety of activities including physical activity, STEM, arts & crafts, FUN, and homework help.
