The program is a structured class of aerobic training followed by task-specific training within a community-based PD specific group exercise format. Delay the Disease is an evidence-based fitness program, led by a certified Delay the Disease instructor, designed to empower people with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological disorders as well as their caregivers and spouses.

Living Well with Diabetes

Free Free 18+ August 3, 2021 - September 7, 2021
Caldwell YMCA: Tue, 10am–12pm

This evidence-based program created at Stanford University is for people living with or taking care of someone with diabetes, or a person that would like to learn more about living a healthy life with a chronic condition. The workshop meets once a week for six weeks and covers topics such as symptoms of diabetes, healthy ways to manage high and low blood sugars, working effectively with health care providers, stress reduction techniques, and the importance of nutrition, diet, and exercise.
