Team Idaho was started in 1979 to provide a grass-roots opportunity for youth to participate in Track & Field. The first year the club had 15 kids. Today the club has over 600 participants. The goal of Team Idaho is to help participants at all levels improve their specific Track & Field skills, make new friends, and have fun.
Team Idaho Club is a USATF sanctioned club.

Summer Track and Field offers training for all events to all ages and ability levels from ages 6 to 106. YMCA Horsethief Cross Country Camp is for high school runners to prepare them for the upcoming season. Daily runs, educational seminars, and team building exercises will be part of the fun. YMCA Team Idaho Running Club gives youth, who would like to improve their abilities, an opportunity to train with others in the area and get coaching that will help them reach their goals beyond the regular season. Winter Track Conditioning is designed to give kids ages 6-14 an opportunity to train with kids from other areas to improve their track and field skills and abilities beyond the regular track and field season.
